Abstract
This IDC Tech Buyer Presentation, originally developed in June 2023 for a webinar, summarizes the current state of KPI usage to measure the effectiveness of enterprise automation and how it needs to mature to align the organization better in the future beyond speed and cost. Automation analysts from across the technology spectrum come together to discuss why organizations need to rethink their approach from local KPIs to enterprise KPIs to uplevel their maturity.
According to Shari Lava, research director, Automation at IDC, "AI and automation technologies like generative AI require organizations to shift from team output metrics to enterprise outcomes when measuring the impact of investments in enterprise automation."
