Abstract

This IDC Tech Buyer Presentation discusses emerging security technologies. Security is an “organic” discipline, constantly evolving to improve the efficiency and efficacy of existing approaches and adapting to respond to the creative new attacks of clever and sophisticated adversaries. The result is that new and innovative technologies are always being developed but some of them quietly disappear. However, it can be difficult to keep up with the bleeding edge technologies coming to the market. The purpose of this research is to document new technologies across many cybersecurity disciplines.

This emerging cybersecurity technologies primer is not meant to be an exhaustive list, just a sampling of the technologies that were top of mind at the time of the compilation of the research.
