This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights top concerns for IT spend. Concerns about talent quality and skills retention are impacting every aspect of organizational design and transformation. Rising labor shortages are growing as a top concern faster than any concern for IT spend leaders as their mandates are pushed to better justify digital insights enablement. In the face of global change factors beyond their control, organizational leaders are pivoting to internalize vital skill sets to reengineer the organization for improved change readiness. Consequently, digital spend priorities are evolving to drive more value out of insights delivery through expanded and cross-functional data applicability. The result of the pivot is a deeper focus on continuously reconnecting changing talent priorities to evolving business objectives and key results for mutual benefits in individual and organizational performance.
