Abstract


This IDC Perspective discusses the annual user conference held by Amazon Ads in New York City on October 24–26, 2023. Major announcements included a clean room specifically for publishers, GenAI-automated image generation, Sponsored TV, and more holistic analytics. IDC believes that these announcements significantly enhance the value Amazon Ads delivers to brands.

“With these improvements to its ad products and measurability for current advertisers and non-endemic brands that do not yet sell on Amazon Stores, Amazon Ads has a significantly more attractive offering for a broader range of potential advertisers,” said Gerry Murray, research director, Enterprise Marketing Technology at IDC. “Amazon Ads is now much better positioned to gain share against its rivals and continue its rise as one of the largest and fastest growing businesses in the Amazon family.”
