Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the top security, compliance, and trust-related challenges facing European organizations. This is pertinent given the ongoing migration to cloud across many industries in Europe and their resulting need for cloud security skills.
IDC research shows that European organizations rank cloud security skills at the top of their list of challenges, above other challenges including data security, application security, and cloud governance. Demand for cloud security skills in Europe far outpaces supply, which is exacerbated by the increasing complexity of cloud deployments and the resulting need for professionals in multiple industry sectors.
It's clear that people are the priority, and this is likely to remain true for the foreseeable future.
