Abstract
This IDC Survey examines the European results of IDC's Worldwide C-Suite Survey and offers a view on the evolution of the European CIO. IDC research shows that the majority of European CIOs report to the CEO and want mature their current role, as opposed to moving to a different leadership position.
"European CIOs are keen to mature and develop in their current role; at the same time, they are being expected to deepen their knowledge of IT modernization and risk management. This indicates that the role of the European CIO is evolving fast and becoming increasingly diverse," said Dave Clemente, research director for European C-Suite, IDC Europe.
