This IDC Survey Spotlight delves into communications SPs' focus areas on their respective digital transformation journeys. IDC's 2023 Asia/Pacific Digital Service Provider Transformation Survey shows how communications SPs are progressing on their own transformation from a business, technology and internal operations point of view.
"Often referred to as digital laggards, communications SPs have increasingly realized the critical role of their tech stack in enabling them to offer new engagement and commercial models for their customers," says Nikhil Batra, research director on telecoms and Internet of Things, IDC Asia/Pacific. He adds, "As a result, investments in the modernization of the traditional operations/business support systems (OSS/BSS) stack are increasing to improve business agility. Communications SPs are also grappling with operational challenges, driving them to focus on enhancing their OSS solutions."
