Abstract
This IDC study examines the digital readiness of the C-suite across India organizations and guides sales and marketing leaders of technology vendors. The guidance has been formulated based on the analysis of digital strategy adoption, technology, and business priorities. Additionally, the guidance was also based on who is supporting/leading/executing digital business (DB) transformation (CEO/CIO/LOB) and the level of involvement of the C-suite across India organizations.
A significant share of India organizations is aligned to become a digital business. Despite the macroeconomic uncertainty, most organizations are likely to accelerate their efforts toward establishing a digital business in 2023 and beyond. Although there may be budgetary adjustments, most digital technology investments are immune to budget cuts in 2023.
However, not all transformation efforts and strategies are plain sailing. There are significant challenges that organizations continue to face in their journey toward a digital business. To this end, the organization's C-suite needs to be proactive and digitally skilled.
"India organizations are increasingly embarking on the concept of digital business, and it is expected that various aspects, including cultural changes, technology implementations, and partnerships organizations, will continue to evolve in the coming years. Tech suppliers must harness the full potential of digital business opportunities by addressing shortcomings and strategically targeting decision makers," says Rithika Ponnala, senior research analyst, IDC India.
