Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight details how the use of coprocessors such as GPUs, FPGAs, and ASICs (in which FPGAs and ASICs are used to a much lesser extent than GPUs) in on-premises HPC infrastructure for modeling and simulation (M&S) is growing. However, on average, only 43% of these environments are indeed accelerated.
