This IDC Survey Spotlight answers the following question: To what extent is endpoint detection and response (EDR) a third party–supported function?
Only about a quarter of endpoint detection and response solution users engage third parties to manage their EDR applications; however, third-party support is distributed among many different providers. This diversity of support options complicates organizational adoption of EDR solutions by forcing organizations to choose often disparate support modalities.
