Abstract
This IDC Tech Buyer Survey Spotlight illustrates a sample of how much fraud impacts customers and how it was ultimately resolved. This document contains data from IDC Financial Insights' January 2024 North American Consumer Channel Preference Survey. This web-based survey was taken by 2,750 individuals over the age of 18 who have a checking account and was designed to gauge usage, satisfaction levels, and trends during the customer life cycle of retail and small business owners in the United States and Canada.
"Fraud is something that unfortunately impacts so many people during their financial journey, and customers need to understand who is ultimately liable when bad actors inevitably impact their financial accounts," explained Marc DeCastro, research director, Worldwide Consumer Banking Digital Strategies at IDC Financial Insights.
