Abstract
This IDC Survey provides market intelligence on the current state of adoption and future trends in the cloud application platforms/PaaS market. The survey is designed to identify and confirm the challenges tech buyers face when it comes to learning about adopting and successfully getting value from cloud application platform solutions including Kubernetes and container platform services. Personas include CTOs, CIOs, developers, data scientists, platform engineers, enterprise architects, DevOps, DevSecOps, and IT operators.
This survey covers United States–based decision-makers and influencers at organizations that use cloud application platforms. All survey participants are from midsize to large organizations, use at least one major cloud vendor, and are using cloud services for software development and deployment. In addition, more than half of respondents deploy applications to the edge.
