Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight reveals that as organizations around the globe expand their use of wireless connectivity, fixed wireless access (FWA) is growing in popularity. IDC survey data shows that businesses are rapidly exploring the use of FWA for primary and secondary wireless WAN connectivity.

"As enterprises continue to build out a future of connectedness strategy, wireless technologies across both the licensed and unlicensed spectrum will continue to be a key priority," says Brandon Butler, research manager, Enterprise Networks at IDC. "FWA is becoming an increasingly attractive option as more offerings enter the market, new technologies like 5G network slicing are enabling expanded use cases, and the benefits of FWA are being realized by organizations."
