Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight compares data from IDC's March and July 2023 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Surveys, Waves 2 and 6, respectively, demonstrating organizational shifts over time in the priorities of generative AI use cases. It compares changes in organizational sentiment around both business areas that could see the most positive impacts and changes in prioritization of use cases. Finally, it includes analysis of what these changes mean to the broader connectivity-based automation market.
According to Shari Lava, research director, Automation, at IDC, "As organizations build awareness of AI's capabilities and possibilities, their priorities for generative AI use cases continues to shift. The new generative AI priorities identified around customer engagement will depend heavily on resilient data connectivity to achieve the most benefit from AI investments."
