This IDC Survey Spotlight examines how global businesses plan to use digital technologies to intelligently source products and services across their business. Intelligent sourcing is defined as one of the seven core programs in IDC's Worldwide Digital Transformation Use Case Taxonomy, 2023: Procurement.
Data depicted in this document is from IDC's September 2023 Worldwide ServicesPath Survey (n = 187). Survey respondents include line-of-business and IT roles across industries and company sizes. Respondents indicated that "procurement business process services" (outsourcing of procurement activities associated with a company's need to obtain goods/services to manufacture a product or operate an organization) was the most strategic in achieving their goals over the next two years.
