Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insights from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 5, conducted in June 2023 on the top benefits organizations gain from their cloud platform approach: primary, multicloud, hybrid cloud, or open source.
IDC finds that enterprises taking multicloud, hybrid cloud, and open source cloud strategies have the opportunity to move beyond the lens of improved IT productivity and gain the benefits associated with more mature cloud practices. IDC research shows the top areas to target for improvement in working with their vendors as strategic partners are security, access to innovative technologies (e.g., for application development and deployment), and use of AI and automation in a variety of use cases.
