Abstract
This IDC study presents the updated forecast data for the worldwide PC market for 2023–2027.
"Despite the prior quarter coming in better than expected, we're overall more pessimistic about the immediate future," states Linn Huang, research vice president, Devices and Displays, IDC. "We could see another inventory cliff if education spending does not pick up as expected, and China's struggles with deflation now push any current demand for PCs (or really any goods) further into the future. Yes, 2023 will be another tough year. However, economic recovery, major refresh, and Windows 11 migration should spell strong rebound in 2024."
