Abstract
This IDC Survey summarizes selected results from IDC's Cloud Network View Survey, conducted in July 2023. Data from this survey is published in multiple documents. This document highlights enterprises' current and future strategies related to cloud networking. The 400 survey participants represent a mix of industries from the United States. They are senior IT and line-of-business decision makers tasked with shaping strategic technology, architecture, operating model, and vendor choices for their organizations' networking resources. Data on other dimensions of the survey will be discussed in forthcoming documents.
"Organizations are on the precipice of a significant networking transformation, driven by the embrace of both single and multicloud environments," explains Taranvir Singh, research manager, Cloud Networking Services program at IDC. "IDC's survey shows that 94% of decision makers agree that modern cloud workloads will have an impact on networking. The continuous increase in network bandwidth demand and the resolute commitment to cloud–based IaaS network services paint a clear picture of the evolving cloud-centric networking landscape."
