Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight presents a regional view of investment expectations for key enterprise connectivity products and services in 2023 and 2024.
Network security and cloud connectivity continue to be recession proof and headwind resistant as enterprises continue down the path to becoming more agile and connected. IDC's 2023 Future of Connectedness Survey shows that two-thirds of all enterprises worldwide expect to increase spending on cloud connectivity and network security applications and services over the next 12 months, up from 52% the prior year. Just over half of all the enterprises expect to increase spending on IoT and Wi-Fi 6 solutions over the same period.
The data in this IDC Survey Spotlight is extracted from IDC's 2023 Future of Connectedness Survey, with 770 respondents across 18 countries. It provides a detailed view of enterprise connectivity trends, priorities, business challenges, and investment expectations for the next 12–24 months, including insights segmented by region and vertical market.
