This IDC study provides an updated forecast for the worldwide augmented and virtual reality hardware market for the 2023–2027 period.
"2023 is a year for modest growth for the worldwide AR/VR market, but it is also laying down some key pieces going forward," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's Augmented and Virtual Reality team. "Now that Apple has unveiled its Vision Pro device, Sony has released its PSVR 2, and Meta has announced its Quest 3, the market seems eager for new updates and entrants that can grow the market and raise awareness and usage among consumers and commercial users."
