Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insights into the plans of businesses of varying sizes on the repatriation of compute resources from the public cloud. This topic was covered in the IDC's Server and Storage Workloads Survey completed in April 2023. Repatriation of workloads from the public cloud to dedicated infrastructure environments is a common practice for enterprises that take a hybrid cloud approach and have a workload-centric IT strategy. In this survey, respondents indicated whether they have repatriation plans and estimated the magnitude of their repatriation activity.
