Abstract
This IDC Survey highlights results from IDC's 2023 North American Knowledge Discovery Survey. In particular, this presentation reviews and analyzes select questions around adoption, maturity, usage, challenges, spend, and other trends regarding knowledge discovery systems for external-facing use cases (e.g., site search, product search). This is part of a broader research series highlighting findings and themes from this February 2023 survey.
IDC conducted a web-based survey of 522 technology users, influencers, and decision makers regarding search and knowledge discovery systems in enterprise organizations that use a knowledge discovery solution today. The goal of this study was to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges around this evolving technology in the United States, for larger companies (1,000+ employees) across a variety of verticals.
