This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights a survey question from IDC's SD-WAN Special Report Survey, a global survey of more than 1,200 respondents conducted in 4Q22.
"A key trend driving enterprise networking in 2023 is the convergence of networking and security. This trend is exemplified in the SD-WAN market where IDC survey data shows that enterprises are looking for SD-WAN solutions that offer security integrations," says Brandon Butler, IDC research manager, Enterprise Networks. "There will not be a one-size-fits-all approach to SD-WAN and security, however. Some customers prefer integrations of an SD-WAN with existing security tools, while others will look for integrations with new, best-of-breed security tool integrations. It's incumbent on SD-WAN vendors to offer integrations across the ecosystem of security tools that could integrate with an SD-WAN."
