Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights a data point from IDC's annual Worldwide Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) Special Report Survey, conducted in November 2022. Respondents included more than 650 enterprise IT practitioners who currently use or plan to use a cloud connect or interconnect partner for multicloud connectivity and/or site-to-site connectivity. Survey topics included trends in WAN transformation, SD-WAN deployment preferences, SD-Branch and SASE architectures, multicloud networking and interconnect, and SD-WAN partner preferences. The question featured in this IDC Survey Spotlight asked respondents about the top networking use cases for which they would choose a cloud interconnect partner. The responses highlight key use cases that include connectivity between an enterprise's own sites and to vendor clouds hosting their applications.
