This IDC study presents the updated forecast data for the worldwide PC market for 2022–2026.
"The industry is currently sliding down a steep embankment, falling into a trough dug deep by geopolitical crises, inflation, and recession," states Linn Huang, research vice president, Devices & Displays, IDC. "Still, there is good news on the horizon. Inventory levels have come down over the past few months, and when the economy does pick back up, it will be timed with the next major refresh hyper cycle as well as corporate push to update Windows 11."
