This IDC Perspective discusses the enterprises' need to keep downtime at a minimum. Public cloud or on-premises mission-critical applications and environments as a whole need to be supported differently than they have in the past.
"Workloads may reside on infrastructure that runs many different workloads from test/development to mission critical," says Rob Brothers, vice president of IDC's Datacenter and Support Services.
