Abstract

Hybrid multicloud adoption continues to grow in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Organizations are choosing between multiple public clouds and an array of hosted and standardized private cloud solutions, depending on factors such as the availability of in-country data centers and importance of the workload. Cloud is now seen as a strategic core to building a digital business, and continuing vendor investments in local cloud regions are resulting in increased adoption, especially among regulated sectors.

This IDC Survey presentation, based on the findings of IDC's Cloud Survey 2024 and incorporating insights from over 500 CIOs across MEA, presents a fresh perspective on the region's cloud adoption trends. It examines the region's adoption maturity, the challenges encountered, and the outcomes achieved from cloud adoption. The analysis also explores the rise of hybrid multicloud adoption, key hyperscaler investments, and strategic partnerships, providing a comprehensive view of MEA's evolving cloud market within the broader context of digital transformation.
