Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation provides key findings from IDC's GenAI Awareness, Readiness, and Commitment (ARC) Survey, which was conducted among 1,363 IT leaders in North America, Asia/Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in August 2023. The survey investigated how IT and business leaders in enterprises worldwide see the potential impact of generative AI (GenAI) — which promises a drastic reduction in the time and costs associated with various automation- and AI-linked use cases — on their organizations in the next 18 months. It also explored organizations' GenAI roadmaps and the potential risks and challenges presented by this technology.
This study provides a combined view of the survey results from South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. It offers qualitative insights into the GenAI adoption trends among large enterprises (500+ employees) across these three countries.
