Abstract
The Middle East and Africa (MEA) region is witnessing a dynamic shift in its public cloud market, which is fundamentally reshaping the entire cloud ecosystem. This IDC Survey provides a fresh perspective on cloud-native application development from the CIO's viewpoint. As MEA organizations progressively integrate cloud-native applications into their IT environments, the survey offers a comprehensive view of the current state of cloud-native application adoption within the region. It also highlights the key challenges that are impeding the adoption of cloud-native application development practices and underscores the resulting demand for various professional services. This study is based on the findings of IDC's Cloud Survey, which was conducted in January 2023 and encompassed insights from over 500 CIOs representing diverse verticals across the MEA region.
