Abstract
This study provides a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the Japan private cloud market based on information collected through early September 2022.
Until now, private clouds have been deployed as standalone, with the goal of optimizing individual systems. However, the emphasis has shifted to stronger governance and operational consistency, and private clouds are becoming increasingly hybrid cloud–oriented. "Vendors need to move toward cloud-native private cloud environments and automation of construction/operation, while at the same time enhancing security to fit the new architecture," says Satoshi Matsumoto, research director, IT Services at IDC Japan.
