Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses the levels of developer engagement with internal developer platforms (IDPs) among European organizations, including satisfaction levels with these environments and limitations inhibiting wider engagement with and consumption of these environments. It provides a view on application development and delivery discipline as well as adherence to organizational policies and compliance. This document also provides insights into the differences in attitude and approaches between developer teams and platform engineering teams defining and provisioning such environments.
This document is based on a question from IDC's European DevOps and Modern App Delivery Survey in September 2023. The survey covered 600 organizations with more than 500 FTEs across Europe with capabilities in software development and delivery.
