Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insights into how much European organizations' total public cloud spending is wasted or under-utilized. It is based on results from IDC's EMEA CloudOps Survey, which was conducted between February and March 2024 and covered 1,431 enterprises in EMEA (700 in Western Europe, 225 in Central Eastern Europe, and 506 in the META region). Data in this IDC Survey Spotlight are also based on results from IDC's European Multicloud Survey, which was conducted between August and September 2022 and covered 1,077 enterprises in Europe (872 in Western Europe and 205 in Central Eastern Europe).
