Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the top priorities of European technology buyers regarding software providers over the next 18 months, as these buyers go out to the market to develop their organization's generative AI (GenAI) capabilities.
Our findings show that the top GenAI buying priority — by a large margin — is robust data security.
As European CISOs become increasingly involved in their organization's GenAI investment decisions, they will need to engage internally with legal — and externally with software providers — to understand how their organization's risk posture will change based on these investments. It may be the case that security updates will be needed or that existing security deployments are sufficient.
