Abstract
This IDC Market Forecast provides a European forecast for telecommunications capex in 2021-2027. The capex forecast is broken down into France, Germany, Spain, the U.K., other European countries and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE).
"Telecom operators in Europe will slightly increase their investments at 1.1% CAGR over 2022-2027 after peaking in 2025," said Bruno Teyton, associate vice president, European Networking and Life-Cycle Services. "Telecom operators need to invest in fixed very-high-speed networks, densify 5G networks, and automate IT systems and networks. However, they are facing new challenges such as inflation and well as rising energy costs and interest rates."
