This IDC Survey is part of IDC's 2023 European Data, Analytics, AI, and Automation Survey, providing insights into organizations' usage and vision across different topics.
With data ever increasing, data chaos is a reality more than ever. Confronting data chaos and adapting to modern data frameworks and lack of personnel is a major challenge for European enterprises. Data usage gives them a competitive advantage in financial and business terms, but what are the benefits and barriers in the adoption of data analytics to become data driven? What are the pain points, and in which sub-area of the data analytics framework are they investing?
This document provides a deeper understanding about:
- Benefits and barriers in the adoption of data analytics to become data driven
- How and where European companies are investing in their data and analytics portfolios
- Usage status of single "layers" of their data frameworks: data platforms, pipelines, tools, and cultural aspects
- European companies' present and future attitudes around no-code and low-code tools
This data is based on feedback from 579 respondents across Europe. Respondents were from across a spectrum of company sizes in 12 key industries and 14 countries.
"With tools and data literacy as the most urgent priorities of European enterprises in terms of data analytics, no-code analytical tools are on the rise — the ones that still do not use them broadly are planning to do so soon. Vendors that have them must underline these capabilities," said Giovanni Cervellati, research manager, IDC.
