Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation examines the Canadian datacenter infrastructure sales action item for 1Q23. In this August 2022 ITAP n5 Survey, we asked 491 Canadian IT decision makers about their approach to managing end-to-end application and infrastructure performance and security. We also asked them about technical skills gaps/shortages and the extent to which existing digital infrastructure management staff, skills, and tools are positioned to support their future strategy. Their responses are segmented by business size and industry, as well as compared with those same outcome criteria last year at this time to identify shifts in thinking and priorities for Canadian organizations as they continue to search for the right balance between managing end-to-end application and infrastructure performance and security internally or outsourcing these responsibilities to external service providers amid the persisting labour shortages.
