Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the initiatives undertaken by Asia/Pacific organizations to address the development skills gaps.

The survey results are tabulated from IDC's 2022 Asia/Pacific Software Survey. In this study, 800 CIOs and line-of-business (LOB) decision makers shared insights about their software innovation priorities, preferences, and challenges. "A more collaborative approach for skilling and training initiatives should be considered by all the involved stakeholders. The inclusion of business employees in the development process can foster new ideas, thereby shortening development cycles," says Dhiraj Badgujar, senior research manager for digital innovation, DevOps, and software applications, IDC Asia/Pacific.
