Abstract
This IDC Market Note considers GitLab’s recent release of the artificial intelligence (AI)–powered DevSecOps platform GitLab 16.0. GitLab 16.0 includes code suggestions that allow users to develop better code quicker and more effectively. In the first half of the year, GitLab launched five new AI features, including security testing and analysis, whereas observability, and proactive vulnerability discovery were released in May 2023 with the launch of GitLab 16.0.
