Abstract
IDC Innovators are emerging vendors with revenue less than US$100 million and have demonstrated a groundbreaking business model, an innovative new technology, or both. This IDC Innovators study profiles five vendors in China that are innovating in the area of privacy-preserving computation (PPC): Beijing RealAI Technology, Clustar Technology, Huakong TsingJiao Information Science, NVXClouds Tech, and Sudo Technologies.
"Within many industries, it is important that data applications adhere to privacy regulations that safeguard data privacy when various parties try to utilize the rich value brought by data sharing, transactions, and applications. This is especially true in China when accelerating the cultivation of the data element market with multiple data privacy protection regulations coming into force," says Liu Xiao, senior market analyst, IDC Financial Insights Asia/Pacific. "For a long time, PPC has been limited to a narrow scope because of computing power bottleneck and a lack of understanding of technologies across industries. As more technologies are integrated in the field and cross-sector innovations boost adoption, PPC allows for the removal of fear and will open what is possible in data sharing, transactions, and applications," she adds.
