Abstract
This IDC Tech Buyer Survey Spotlight presents results from IDC's 2024 Industry Tech Path Survey, which included responses from 100 banks around the world about their current and planned usage of cloud services for payment processing. In this excerpt, we see that over 50% of responding banks worldwide have chosen cloud-based systems for at least some of their payment processing workloads, with an additional 30% of banks planning to use cloud. Adoption rates and plans vary somewhat across geographies but are expected to even out over the next 12–24 months.
