This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insights on planned primary and secondary choices of computing and storage infrastructure types for training and tuning generative AI (GenAI) models and for inferencing. This data comes from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey (FERS), Wave 4, April 2024. The respondents expressed their opinion on the likelihood of using infrastructure in public cloud and in dedicated environments, including corporate datacenters, hosted or colocation datacenters, and edge locations.
