This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights the results of IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey of 889 IT decision-makers. According to the survey, the top 2 considerations for the selection of a GenAI platform relate to trust are auditing for compliance and PII detection/content moderation for training data.
As experience with the GenAI platform increases, model explainability (ability to describe how the model works) is of less importance than the model's behavior inside the organization, paving the way for the increased importance of PII detection and content moderation for training data for these in-production organizations — how is training data being selected? Is personal information being used or at risk of being abused?
