Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights how the level of customized threat intelligence that is given to buyers of managed detection and response (MDR) can vary based on the size of the organization. Threat intelligence that is customized for a customer's unique business environment, region/country, and industry as well as threat intelligence that is not customized at all is analyzed.
The factors are pulled from IDC's September 2023 Managed Detection and Response Survey. Survey respondents have utilized MDR services for at least a year and filled at least one of the following criteria:
- Survey respondent is part of the team or the final decision-maker for selecting an MDR provider.
- Survey respondent is part of the team that engages with their MDR service provider on a day-to-day basis.
- Survey respondent influences decisions related to their organization's MDR provider.
