This IDC Survey Spotlight uses the same data from Business Consulting Services Vendor Survey Spotlight — 2023 Buyer Patterns a Tale of Haves and Have-Nots (IDC #US51498524, January 2024) but looks at regional dynamics to create different insights.
Providers seeking to partner with business consulting services buyers found great inconsistency in their spending from region to region, making it difficult to predict optimal staffing levels. While buyers appreciate business consultants that understand local and regional dynamics, they are accepting staff with capabilities specific to their needs globally. Providers should continue hiring and promoting their staff during chaotic times to ensure that they have staff to meet needs as buyers' spend shifts in future.
