This IDC Survey Spotlight answers the question "what is driving investments in active application security and what is deterring investments?" In IDC's March 2024Web Application and Availability Protection Buyer Insights Survey (n = 1,039), IDC found that active application security solutions fulfill many complex security buyer needs, addressing a range of internal and external motivations. On the other hand, IT buyers aligned on a similar set of challenges that hindered their investments in active application security.
