This IDC Survey Spotlight takes a look at the size of the skills challenge across the global cloud industry — a challenge that poses both risks and opportunities for the wider cloud market. Cloud buyers face a range of pressures in 2024, with many seeking to rebuild or modernize cloud environments with a focus on hybrid cloud. Difficulties in accessing the right skills, especially in the areas of IT automation and cost and workload management, however, threaten to derail some projects.
