Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight discusses data from IDC's C-Suite Tech Survey conducted in August 2023. 895 respondents were asked about what their organization's top technology priorities are for the next 12 months. Of the 895, 126 respondents said that they oversee sustainability for their organization. This does not mean, however, that they hold the title of chief sustainability officer. It could be that they are a CIO with sustainability as part of their responsibilities. Interestingly, more than their peers, C-suite executives overseeing sustainability are eager to leverage emerging technology. This highlights the particularly intriguing intersection between AI and sustainability.
