Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights which professional and managed services are expected to see spending increases in 2024 based on respondents in the United States to IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey (FERS), Wave 9. The survey was fielded in October 2023. The study compares the responses from U.S. IT executives to those of their peers worldwide. Respondents were asked "Compared with your likely final 2023 spending on professional/managed services, how will your organization's 2024 budget for the following professional/managed services purchased from service providers change?" The study compares the average percentage change across services areas in the United States, and to the average percentage change to worldwide respondents. The survey collected responses from 888 IT executives worldwide, including 265 U.S. respondents from organizations with more than 500 employees.
