Abstract

This IDC Survey covers a wide range of topics including whether spending on external services will increase, decrease, or stay the same in 2024–2025; what are the business modernization/transformation priorities for 2024–2025; and what will be the key drivers of spending. The survey also assessed organizations' plans for procuring digital workplace services (DWS), sourcing priorities for DWS, and challenges with regard to deployment of automation services. It also examined brand perception and awareness of tech buyers with regard to IT and business services providers.

IDC's August 2024 Worldwide Services Leading Indicators Survey (n = 452) highlights survey results across 10 industries from organizations in 9 countries: Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Japan, Germany, France, China, and Canada.

"The hybrid workplace is here to stay, and organizations have recognized the importance of implementing digital workplace tools to improve employee engagement, increase productivity, and drive revenue growth," said Nishant Bansal, associate research director, Worldwide Services at IDC.
