Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight analyzes results from IDC's annual U.S. Enterprise Mobility Decision Maker Survey: Devices, conducted in June of 2023 among 525 enterprise mobility decision makers in the United States.

It is difficult to understate just how indispensable mobile devices have become to businesses and business users in today's enterprise landscape. Both smartphones and tablets excel in the workplace by enabling mobile communication and providing users with constant access to critical business applications, productivity tools, vital information, and digital content. Given the inherent benefits mobile devices provide businesses and business users, it comes as no surprise that in 2023, over two-thirds of U.S. enterprises deploy multiple mobile devices per employee with the goal of enhancing worker productivity, increasing revenue, and improving customer satisfaction.

This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights multiple mobile device deployment trends among U.S.-based companies.
